Job summary

Rexel India is seeking an Experienced Quality Inspector in Chennai to perform incoming inspections, verify materials against drawings and standards, and manage NCRs. You will maintain records, coordinate with suppliers for corrective actions, and ensure traceability and proper storage per quality systems.

The role supports audits and continuous improvement in a fast-paced cross-functional environment, focusing on COPQ reduction and compliance with industrial standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE (Mechanical) with 3–5 years of experience in inspection quality
• Strong understanding of quality systems, traceability and compliance requirements
• Hands-on experience with RCA tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) and supplier audits

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of diversified parts and products.
• Verify materials against drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Handle GRN inspection and acceptance/rejection decisions.
• Maintain inspection records and reports.
• Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for defective materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers for rejection, replacement, and corrective actions.
• Ensure proper identification, traceability, and storage compliance.
• Implement sampling plans (AQL, statistical inspection).
• Support audits and ensure compliance with ISO/quality systems.
