The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree (Diploma or Bachelor's) with about two years of RMC QC experience and a solid understanding of concrete technology, mix design and QC procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with relevant studies.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the RMC industry.
• Strong knowledge of concrete technology, mix design and QC processes.
• Familiarity with IS Codes for concrete and construction materials.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory and field testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect quality of raw materials and concrete at production and delivery stages.
• Conduct and monitor laboratory and field tests per applicable standards.
• Perform fresh concrete tests and cube strength testing.
• Monitor batching plant operations from a QC perspective.
• Maintain quality records, test reports and mix design documents.
• Identify non-conformities and support corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production, Dispatch and Site teams on quality issues.
• Assist in handling customer/site quality complaints and audits.
• Ensure compliance with IS standards and company QC procedures.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping in lab and work areas.

RMC QUALITY CONTROL (QC) ENGINEER

Job Description

The RMC Quality Control (QC) Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials and concrete at various stages of production, testing, and delivery, in accordance with approved mix designs, applicable standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor the quality of incoming raw materials including cement, aggregates, sand, water, and admixtures.
• Conduct and monitor laboratory and field tests for raw materials and concrete as per applicable standards.
• Perform fresh concrete tests such as slump, temperature, and other required quality checks.
• Carry out concrete cube sampling, casting, curing, and compressive strength testing.
• Monitor concrete strength results and report any deviations or quality concerns.
• Ensure production is carried out as per approved mix designs and specifications.
• Monitor batching plant operations from a quality control perspective.
• Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, and Site teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Maintain quality records, test reports, cube records, mix design documents, and other relevant documentation.
• Monitor the calibration and proper condition of laboratory and testing equipment.
• Identify non-conformities and support appropriate corrective actions.
• Assist in handling customer/site quality complaints and technical issues.
• Support internal and external audits and provide required quality records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IS Standards and company quality procedures.
• Follow safety requirements and maintain proper housekeeping in the laboratory and work areas.

Qualifications
