Job summary

The Company, located at Aerospace Park, Devanahalli, Bangalore, seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure conformity to quality, customer and regulatory requirements through inspection and quality control activities.

You will plan sampling, monitor quality issues across manufacturing, validate equipment, and prepare reports with data-driven recommendations. You will drive NCR closures using 8D/FACA and lead training sessions to promote quality awareness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 6-10 years of experience.
• Previous experience with a Quality role in EMS / similar manufacturing industry background.
• Regulatory & QMS is the added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan sampling procedures, SOP and handle inspection activities.
• Monitor quality-related issues within the manufacturing team.
• Ensure measuring and testing equipment is validated and calibrated.
• Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing quality data.
• Facilitate NCR closures using 8D/FACA methodology with preventive measures.
• Feedback experiences and lessons learned to database.
• Compile and write training material; conduct quality awareness training.
• Apply advanced problem-solving techniques and drive continuous improvement.
• Perform audits to ensure procedures are followed.
• Work with internal teams to improve customer satisfaction through quality.
• Undertake other duties as required by Quality Manager.
• Handle shifts and lead the team with training/skill development.
• Handle NPI Shipments, customer audits & FACA.
• Yield improvement, defect trend analysis, and machine hours analysis.
• Hands-on measurement experience on OMM, Spectrometer & other instruments.

Job Summary:

Ensure product conformity to defined quality, customer, and regulatory requirements through effective inspection and quality control activities, while adhering to Company's established rules, policies, and procedures.

Key result areas:

• 1. Plan sampling procedures, SOP and handle the inspection activities
• 2. Monitor all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g., Internal,supplier, customer).
• 3. Ensure that the measuring and testing equipment is validated (fit for purpose); set correctly and calibrated (fit for use);
• 4. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing quality data and making recommendations for improvements at InHouse
• 5. Facilitate NCR closures using 8D/FACA methodology with appropriate preventive measures in place.
• 6. Ensure experience and lessons learned are properly feedback to Failure analysis and Lessons Learnt Database.
• 7. Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities & leads Quality awareness training.
• 8. Apply advanced problem-solving techniques and drive continuous improvement mentality within the qualityteam.
• 9. Perform auditsto ensure operational procedures are adhered
• 10. Work with internal teams to increase customersatisfaction through improved product quality.
• 11. To undertake any other duty and responsibility as may be required by the Quality Manager
• 12. Handle the shifts and lead the team with adequate training/ skill up
• 13. Handle the NPI Shipments, customer audits & FACA
• 14. Yield improvement, Defect trends down & help production team for machine hours analysis etc.

Critical requirements:

Diploma or BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 6 - 10 years of Experience

Previous experience with a Quality role in EMS /similar manufacturing industry background

Competencies:

• Hands-on in handling customers and coordinating with internal stakeholders
• Understanding technical documentation like drawings, Test standards & customer defined technical standards
• Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent computerskills; including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and Power Point Presentation., MS Outlook, and ERP tools.
• Knowledge of core quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC/Strong in Drawing interpersonal skills
