UCAM, located in Bengaluru (Dabaspete area), seeks a Quality Engineer to lead supplier audits and manage quality across the supply chain. The role requires 4–7 years of experience, with a focus on reducing non-conformities and driving corrective actions in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

You will monitor supplier performance, ensure timely 8D documentation, and coordinate with internal teams to uphold UCAM's quality standards.

Formación

• 4–7 years of quality engineering experience.
• Experience in supplier audits and NC closure.
• Hands-on with 8D reports and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of UCAM code of conduct and QA processes.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct supplier system and process audits as per yearly plan.
• Monitor supplier performance (Quality, Cost & delivery) and report ratings.
• Ensure on-time closure of customer complaints and submission of 8D reports.
• Handle supplier complaints with root-cause analysis and action plans.
• Review and update approved suppliers list.
• Develop new suppliers and drive supplier upgradation.
• Align supplier processes with UCAM quality agreements.
• Ensure part clearance within 3 days at inward inspection.
• Communicate non-conformities to suppliers and follow-up on corrective actions.

Job Position: Quality engineer

Location: Dabaspete

Experience: 4-7 years

Main/ Essential Task

• Ensure to conduct supplier system & process audit as per yearly plan & closure of non-conformities (NC) within the targeted time frame.
• Monitor supplier performance (Quality, Cost & delivery) and communicate performance ratings to respective suppliers.
• Ensure on time closure of customer complaints and Oversee the submission of 8D reports and action plans related to supplier issues.
• Supplier complaints handling and ensure timely closure of complaints with proper analysis and action plans, monitor the effectiveness with standardization.
• Review and update the list of approved suppliers as per the defined frequency and procedure.
• Responsible for New Supplier development, Implement processes for supplier upgradation, Monitor and rate supplier performance through audits
• Prepare & ensure that supplier processes align with the UCAM code of conduct and Quality Agreement.
• Ensure the part clearance within 3 days at inward inspection.
• Communicate non-conformities to respective suppliers promptly and work collaboratively with suppliers on action plans to address identified issues.
