Job summary

AKAS Medical Equipment is seeking a QC Engineer Trainee in Ambattur, Chennai, to join the Quality Control team. You will perform quality inspection, functional testing, PCB troubleshooting, and basic rework under supervision.

Fresh graduates in EEE/ECE with a hands-on mindset are encouraged to apply. The role involves collaborating with Production, Service, and Engineering to maintain high quality and accuracy in documentation and records.

Qualifications

• Freshers welcome with B.E./B.Tech in EEE/ECE.
• Hands-on experience in PCB soldering and testing preferred.
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and understand schematics.
• Familiarity with electronic testing instruments and basic troubleshooting.
• Good Excel, data entry, email communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspection and functional testing of electronic/medical equipment.
• Conduct PCB soldering, desoldering, component replacement, and basic rework.
• Troubleshoot PCB, motherboard, and circuit-related issues using schematics.
• Identify hardware defects and support corrective and rework activities.
• Maintain QC records, inspection reports, test results, and defect data.
• Update Excel sheets and prepare basic quality reports and analysis.
• Coordinate with Production, Service, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Follow quality procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain proper product quality standards.

Your Role

As a QC Engineer Trainee, you will be responsible for quality inspection, functional testing, PCB‑level troubleshooting, basic electronic rework, and maintaining quality records. You will work closely with Production, Service, and Engineering teams to identify and resolve product quality issues.

• Perform quality inspection and functional testing of electronic/medical equipment.

• Troubleshoot PCB, motherboard, and circuit‑related issues using schematic diagrams.

• Use basic testing tools such as multimeter, power supply, and soldering equipment.
• Maintain QC records, inspection reports, test results, and defect data.
• Update Excel sheets and prepare basic quality reports and analysis.
• Coordinate with Production, Service, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Follow quality procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain proper product quality standards.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of electronic circuits, components, and PCB hardware.
• Hands‑on knowledge of PCB soldering and desoldering.
• Ability to read and understand schematic/circuit diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of electronic testing instruments and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, data entry, email communication, and documentation.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Willingness to learn and work hands‑on in a quality‑control environment.

Preferred Candidate

Freshers with B.E./B.Tech EEE/ECE are welcome. Candidates with academic projects, internships, or practical experience in PCB soldering, electronics troubleshooting, and testing will be preferred.
