Job summary

Laxmi Diamond (Pvt) Ltd in Mumbai is seeking a Quality Controller to join our diamond inspection team. You will assess diamonds for flaws and ensure compliance with industry standards, coordinating with the production and QC teams.

The successful candidate will have fluency in English and Hindi, diamond knowledge certification, and hands-on experience with advanced microscopy to support recutting or recertification decisions.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English & Hindi with strong communication skills.
• Diamond Knowledge Certification from a reputable lab is an advantage.
• Prior experience in the diamond industry; passion for evaluating diamonds by inspection.
• Determine if a diamond is natural, synthetic, or a simulant.
• Experience using digital microscopes and laser confocal microscopes.

Responsibilities

• Assess diamonds for flaws and grade cut, color, and clarity.
• Evaluate brightness, fire, scintillation, proportions, symmetry, and polish against grading reports.
• Ensure facets are aligned and polished to ideal standards.
• Identify areas for recutting or recertification when needed.

Job Opening : Quality Controller

Job Duty Description

• To assess diamonds, looking for flaws and assessing cut, color, and clarity - ensures that the diamond meets industry standards
• Evaluate brightness, Assess fire, Analyze scintillation, Evaluate proportions, Examine symmetry, Check polish, Refer to the grading report
• Ensuring the diamond's facets are aligned and polished to ideal standards.
• Knowledge to identify areas for improvement in a Diamond to Recut or Recertification

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Fluent in English & Hindi with possession of good communication skills for interacting with the team
• Possession of Diamond Knowledge Certification – Of Any Reputable Laboratory is an advantage.
• Prior experience in Diamond Industry experience would be Passion for Evaluating Diamonds by rigorous inspection - Examining the diamond for inclusions, blemishes, and other imperfections to assess their quality.
• Determining if a diamond is natural, synthetic, or a simulant
• Experience on Digital microscopes and laser confocal microscopes
