Job Summary

Soni Sapphire is hiring a Quality Control Executive with hands‑on experience in brass and silver jewellery quality inspection, including stone identification, stone setting quality, plating, and finishing standards. The role focuses on maintaining superior product quality across manufacturing, outsourcing, and final dispatch, ensuring jewellery meets retail and e‑commerce quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

• Inspect raw materials including brass alloys, 9.25 silver, gemstones, semi‑precious stones, CZ, beads, pearls, and findings; verify metal purity, weight tolerance, stone quality, and supplier compliance; approve or reject materials based on jewellery quality standards and BOM.

In‑Process Quality Control (IPQC)

• Monitor manufacturing stages: casting, soldering, stone setting, polishing, plating, and finishing; identify and report defects such as loose stones, chipped stones, improper setting, uneven polish, solder marks, porosity, and plating burns; ensure adherence to SOPs for brass and silver jewellery production.

Final Quality Control (FQC)

• Perform 100% inspection or AQL‑based inspection before packing and dispatch; check design accuracy, weight, size, symmetry, stone placement, plating shade, and surface finish; verify SKU tagging, barcoding, and packaging standards.

Stone Quality & Setting Control

• Inspect stone quality, cut, color, clarity, size matching, and alignment; identify stone damage, cracks, glue marks, or setting weakness.

Plating & Finish Quality Control

• Monitor gold, rhodium, oxidized, antique, matte, and two‑tone plating; ensure plating thickness, shade consistency, adhesion, and durability; conduct rubbing and wear resistance checks.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain QC checklists, rejection reports, rework tracking, and daily inspection logs.
• Coordinate with production, merchandising, and warehouse teams for quality closure.
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
