Job summary

Deluxe is seeking a QC Technician to review Audio, Video, and Subtitle content with meticulous attention to detail. The role involves watching content for errors across multiple formats and collaborating with production teams to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has basic Office skills, knowledge of AV tools, and strong communication abilities. A proactive attitude and ability to work under tight deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Office packages (Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of Audio/Video meters and software including Premier Pro, Switch Player, FCP, DaVinci, Tektronix.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Eye for detail in audio/video/subtitle quality and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Perform 100% linear watch-through for Audio, Video, & Subtitle content across client formats and ensure assets are error-free.
• Report and document issues using project checklists and internal database.
• Communicate project status and issues with offload units and production management.
• Ensure on-time and accurate completion of projects.
• Learn new processes to maximize productivity.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Support multiple Media Services workflows as needed.

Position Summary

This position is ideal for individuals who have the drive to watch-through the Audio, Video, & Subtitle content and deliver error free work. It requires a highly motivated individual with attention to detail, great organizational skills, and passion for communicating and connecting with others. Outcomes and Accomplishments

As a QC Technician, you will:

• Perform 100% linear watch-through for Audio, Video, & Subtitle content for a variety of clients and formats and ensure that these assets are free of any errors.
• Perform moderate tasks of the Team with zero error
• Report and document issues found using project-related checklists and internal database.
• Communicate effectively with offload units about project status, issues found, etc.
• Communicate and interact with the Production management, offloading units, and associated departments regarding issues related to the project.
• Ensure on-time and accurate completion of projects.
• Learn new processes to maximize individual productivity.
• Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility & Cross-Functional Support: The candidate should demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude toward supporting multiple Media Services workflows. Based on business requirements, the individual may be trained and deployed across different functions and teams to support operational priorities, volume fluctuations, and service delivery needs.

What You Bring:

• Basic knowledge of Office packages such as Word, Excel, etc.
• Basic knowledge of Audio/Video meters, Premier Pro, Switch Player, FCP, Da Vinci, Tektronix
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Eye for detail in noticing issues, both minor and major, with respect to menu design, audio, video & subtitles and functionality logic.
• Must be comfortable with a computer and in tune with the latest technologies.
• Understanding of graphics, imagery and sound specifications, such as colours, resolution, audio glitches etc, a plus.
• A dedicated and well-rounded individual with the ability to work well under pressure as part of a team with tight deadlines.
• A keen interest in media and multimedia is required.
• Good eyesight and no obvious hearing defects.
• Keen interest in working with different types of software and hardware is required.
• Desire to learn new concepts and cross-train with other departments.
• An ability to learn quickly and effectively.
• Ability to solve problems under pressure.
• Good judgement and logical/analytical skills.
