Job summary

Right Advisors Private Limited is seeking a seasoned QA/QC Manager to lead quality for pumped storage/ hydropower infrastructure projects. You will oversee QA/QC activities, develop the Project Quality Plan, supervise tunnelling, caverns, dams and RCC works, review ITPs and method statements, and ensure IS code compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Hydropower / PSP / Dam / Underground Construction projects.
• Hands-on experience in tunnelling, underground caverns, shafts, dams, reservoirs, excavation, shotcrete, rock bolting and grouting works.
• Experience managing QA/QC teams and multiple construction work fronts.
• Good knowledge of IS Codes, Quality Management Systems, ITPs, Method Statements and inspection procedures.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants and client organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage QA/QC activities for PSP project works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements and project quality requirements.
• Develop, implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Quality Control procedures.
• Supervise quality activities for underground and surface works, including tunnels, shafts, caverns, dams, reservoirs, concrete works, excavation, grouting and associated civil structures.
• Review and approve ITPs, Method Statements, Inspection Requests, Checklists and Quality Documentation.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives for inspections and quality clearances.
• Monitor material inspection, testing and laboratory activities, including concrete, aggregates, cement, steel and other construction materials.
• Ensure timely closure of NCRs, observations, punch points and corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct regular quality audits, inspections and surveillance at project sites.
• Review test reports and ensure compliance with relevant IS Codes, project specifications and approved standards.
• Maintain complete and accurate QA/QC records, inspection reports, test reports, quality dossiers and as-built documentation.
• Identify recurring quality issues and implement effective Root Cause Analysis and preventive actions.
• Lead and mentor the QA/QC team and ensure effective deployment of quality personnel across project work fronts.
• Participate in client/consultant audits and quality review meetings and provide necessary reports and updates to project management.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements and quality procedures during all inspection and testing activities.
