Job summary

Profound Human Resource Development Advisors seeks a senior QC/Testing professional to lead material and product testing for cables and conductors. You will ensure adherence to IS/IEC/BS/ASTM standards, generate precise reports, and drive CAPA actions across cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes calibration, SPC-driven improvement, and rigorous documentation, with collaboration across Production, R&D, and Quality teams to uphold ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Polymer Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Control or Testing Laboratory within the cable, conductor, or electrical manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of Cable and Conductor Manufacturing Processes; Electrical and Mechanical Testing Techniques; Copper & Aluminium Conductor Properties; Polymer Materials used in Cable Insulation & Sheathing; Electrical Testing Principles; Mechanical Testing Methods; Measurement Uncertainty & Calibration Principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine, type, acceptance, and special tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished cables and conductors.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, dimensional, and physical testing in accordance with applicable standards and customer specifications.
• Verify compliance with IS, IEC, BS, ASTM, and other relevant international standards.
• Prepare, review, and issue accurate test reports, inspection records, and quality documentation.
• Ensure calibration, maintenance, and proper functioning of laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and support in-process inspections.
• Investigate quality issues, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, R&D, and Customer Quality teams to resolve quality-related concerns.
• Maintain laboratory records, calibration logs, quality reports, and audit documentation.
• Support internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and laboratory quality procedures.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives using Statistical Process Control (SPC), quality analysis, and process monitoring.
• Maintain laboratory safety practices and ensure adherence to company quality standards.
