Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design and maintain automated test scripts using Java and tools like Selenium and JUnit. You will execute tests, report results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality.

You will also document tests, defects, and outcomes, and mentor junior automation engineers where needed. Candidate should have 2–4 years testing experience with 1–2 years automation, strong Java skills, debugging and SQL/test DB

Qualifications

2–4 years overall testing experience with 1–2 years automation testing experience or equivalent automation training.
Proficiency in Java programming language (Core concepts).
Strong understanding of and experience with requirement analysis.
Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Karate, JUnit, and TestNG.
Debugging skills.
Experience using version control systems such as Git.
Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
Experience in UI/API functional testing.
Experience using JIRA and ZE management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Good design and estimation techniques desired.
Strong communication and teamwork skills preferred.
Knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins is a plus.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies desired.

Responsibilities

Design and develop moderately complex automated test scripts.
