Job summary

Strobes Security, Inc. is hiring a Junior QA Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. You will evaluate our product across releases, identifying bugs before users encounter them and helping the team ship with confidence.

We're hiring a Junior QA Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. You'll be responsible for testing our product across releases, catching bugs before they reach users, and helping the team ship with

confidence. This is a great role for someone early in their QA career who wants structured growth — you'll

work closely with senior QAs and developers, and over time take on more ownership around automation,

API testing, and AI-assisted testing tools.

What You'll Do

• Test new features and changes before release — functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Write clear, well-structured test cases and execute them on time within each sprint.
• Log bugs properly — clear steps, screenshots/logs, correct severity — so developers can fix them fast.
• Keep test documentation updated and in good shape, not an afterthought.
• Flag critical issues immediately instead of letting them sit in a backlog.
• Show up prepared for stand-ups — know what you tested, what's blocked, and what's next.
• Work directly with developers and PMs to understand requirements and verify fixes actually solve the problem.
• Start picking up basic automation and API testing (Postman, simple scripts) with support from senior QAs.
• Stay curious about how AI is changing QA — test case generation, smarter defect detection — and be willing to try these tools as they get introduced on the team.

What We're Looking For

• 1–2 years in manual/functional testing (solid internship experience is fine too).
• Clear understanding of STLC and defect lifecycle — not just theory, applied it in real projects.
• Basic programming/scripting knowledge — Python or Java preferred (common for automation), with a working understanding of core concepts like loops, conditionals, functions, and OOP basics.
• Some exposure to Postman or API testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum.
• Good communication — can explain a bug or a blocker without confusion.
• Detail-oriented. Misses less, asks the right questions.
• Genuinely interested in automation — someone who wants to move beyond manual testing and actively contribute to building out our automation suite, not just execute test cases.
