Job summary

Angion Systems in Cochin, Kerala is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

You will review requirements, create test plans, and design automation scripts using open source tools. BS/MS in CS or engineering and experience in QA, SQL and scripting are required. You will work independently or in small teams across development phases.

• Experience writing clear test plans and test cases.

Objective: We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
• Consult with internal resources to clarify specifications.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Other duties as assigned by the IT director.

Job Requirements

• Proven work experience in software development.
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies tools and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Able to work independently and with small teams, working on all phases of development from design through maintenance.
• Good communications skills. .
