Electronikmedia (EM) in Cochin, Kerala invites a Quality Engineer (Manual & Automation) to join a fast-paced, globally collaborating team. You will drive Selenium-based automation and manual testing, collaborating with developers, product managers, and North American clients to ensure delivery of high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of automation testing experience (Selenium required).
• 3+ years of manual testing including API and DB testing.
• Strong SQL skills for backend testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Cochin, India.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts.
• Perform end-to-end manual testing including UI, functional, regression, and database testing.
• Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Review business and technical requirements to develop test strategies and documentation.
• Log detailed and reproducible defects using issue-tracking tools.
• Perform production validations and regression testing for multiple releases.
• Collaborate with development and client teams to address bugs and ensure timely fixes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Stay current with emerging QA tools and trends to continuously improve testing processes.

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer (Manual & Automation) with a strong foundation in Selenium-based automation testing and hands-on manual QA experience. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and international clients, especially in North America.

What Youll Do

• Develop, maintain, and execute robust automation test scripts.
• Conduct end-to-end manual testing including UI, functional, regression, and database testing.
• Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Review business and technical requirements to develop test strategies and documentation.
• Log detailed and reproducible defects using issue-tracking tools.
• Perform production validations and regression testingfor multiple releases.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of automation testing experience (Selenium is a must).
• 3+ years of manual testing experience including API and DB testing.
• Proficiency in writing and maintaining test plans, cases, and test data.
• Strong SQL skills for backend testing (Must Have).
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Prior experience working with North American clients (a strong plus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Cochin.

Nice to Have

• Nice to Have Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.
• Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms like Sauce Labs or BrowserStack.
• Understanding of DevOps practices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber.
