Job summary

Corenza in Mumbai is seeking a hands-on CPA/CA with deep US GAAP expertise to own the accuracy and US GAAP compliance of client deliverables. You will review and mentor a team, standardize processes, and drive capability-building while maintaining high quality before delivery.

You will lead QA initiatives, establish control points, and communicate with US clients to reduce errors and ensure consistent accounting treatment across engagements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform final sign-off reviews of all client deliverables.
• Identify root causes of recurring errors and drive corrective actions.
• Track quality metrics (error rates, rework) and report to leadership and clients.
• Build and deliver structured US GAAP training.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Framework & Controls

• Define and maintain QA checklists, SOPs, and control points.
• Cover quality controls across:
• General ledger
• Reconciliations
• AP/AR
• Month-end close
• Financial statement preparation

Final Review & Sign-Off

• Perform final sign-off reviews of all client deliverables.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and US GAAP compliance before delivery.

Error Prevention & Quality Metrics

• Identify root causes of recurring errors.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Track quality metrics including:
• Error rates
• Rework
• Report quality metrics to leadership and clients.
• Build and deliver structured US GAAP training.
• Coach accountants.
• Maintain a knowledge base to standardize accounting treatment and processes across the team.
• Act as the escalation point for complex accounting questions and quality matters.
• Keep internal standards updated with evolving US GAAP.
