Job summary

Icmai Ahmedabad is seeking an experienced US Accounting professional to manage end-to-end bookkeeping for US-based clients. You will use QuickBooks Online, lead month-end close, review journals, and ensure timely financial statements.

The role requires 2–6+ years in US accounting, strong English communication, and the ability to work with international clients with minimal supervision. This is an on-site position in Bengaluru with IST work hours.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of US GAAP principles
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Proven ability to lead month-end close independently
• Excellent client communication and stakeholder management
• Attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping for multiple US-based clients with minimal supervision
• Oversee daily accounting operations using QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including review of adjustments and reconciliations
• Maintain, review, and reconcile general ledger, bank, and credit card accounts
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and accurate financial statements
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial transactions
• Act as a primary point of contact for US clients, addressing queries and providing insights
• Identify accounting discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Support audit, compliance, and internal control requirements
• Mentor junior accountants/bookkeepers and review their work when required
• Continuously improve accounting processes and documentation

Key Responsibilities:
