Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a Quality Control & Quality Assurance manager to take ownership of quality across our entire production process, from incoming raw materials to finished goods dispatch. Our facility manufactures both our home care product range as well as specialty chemicals for the textile and ready-to-wear apparel sector, such as lubricants, wetting agents, powder-based enzymes, and amino silicone-based softeners. This role is responsible for verifying that raw materials, in-process batches, and finished goods (across both product lines) meet specifications, and that incoming and outgoing quantities are accurately recorded. An ideal candidate is someone who has 7+ years of QC/QA experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, is hands-on with lab testing (titration and other wet-chemistry methods), ideally has exposure to textile/apparel specialty chemicals, and is comfortable leading a small team.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and test incoming raw materials against approved specifications before they are released for production
• Conduct in-process (process) quality checks at each stage of production to catch deviations early
• Carry out final quality checks on finished goods prior to packing and dispatch, ensuring products meet defined quality standards
• Perform lab tests such as titration and other standard wet-chemistry tests to verify product parameters (pH, viscosity, active content, density, etc.)
• Test and validate specialty textile/apparel chemicals - lubricants, wetting agents, powder-based enzymes, and amino silicone-based softeners - against product specifications
• Verify that incoming raw material quantities and outgoing finished goods quantities are accurately recorded and reconciled
• Maintain quality documentation - batch records, test logs, certificates of analysis, and non-conformance reports
• Identify and elevate quality deviations, and work with production to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Lead, guide, and manage a team of 2 QC/QA associates, allocating daily testing and inspection work
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and ensure the QC lab is audit-ready at all times
• Support vendor/raw-material qualification and periodic supplier quality audits

Skills we are looking for

Must Haves:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance in a chemical, cosmetics, home care, textile chemicals, or FMCG manufacturing setup
• Strong working knowledge of chemistry and chemical production processes, including titration and other standard wet-lab tests
• Working knowledge of textile/apparel specialty chemicals such as lubricants, wetting agents, powder-based enzymes, and amino silicone-based softeners
• Experience conducting raw material, in-process, and finished goods quality checks
• Good understanding of quantity verification and reconciliation for incoming and outgoing stock
• Experience maintaining QC documentation such as batch records, COAs, and test logs
• Prior experience managing or mentoring a small team
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (B.Sc/M.Sc Chemistry or B.Tech/M.Tech Chemical)
