Job summary

HealthKart is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer to drive automation initiatives at our Gurugram campus. You will own end-to-end automation modules, enhancing test coverage and reliability while collaborating with developers to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate will champion an automation-first mindset, integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines, and mentor junior QA engineers. A proactive approach to adopting new tools and techniques is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Playwright is essential for building robust automation.
• Strong API testing expertise using Postman and Rest Assured.
• Proficiency in SQL and validating data across databases.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer with an Automation-First mindset who can independently drive automation, improve testing processes, and explore new tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites.
• Identify repetitive manual testing and automate wherever possible.
• Perform UI, API, integration, regression, and E2E testing.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and improve test reliability.
• Analyze failures, debug issues, and collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Drive R&D initiatives to evaluate and adopt better testing tools and approaches.
• Improve test coverage, execution speed, stability, and maintainability.
• Participate in requirement discussions and identify testing scenarios early.
• Review automation code and mentor junior QA engineers.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD, Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman/Rest Assured.
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Familiarity with Jira and test management tools.
• Knowledge of Docker, Appium, JMeter/Gatling, microservices is a plus.
