Job summary

Indo-Mim is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to develop and maintain quality management systems across ISO 9001:2015, AS 9100 D, IATF16949:2016 and EHS.

The role involves planning internal and process audits, coordinating third-party and customer audits, and driving corrective actions to ensure compliance with quality standards on a manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Industrial & Production or MBA in TQM may add advantage.
• Qualified Internal Auditor as per IATF 16949 or AS 9100 D in any organization or authorized institute
• 3 to 7 years of experience in quality management system or auditing field in any manufacturing company

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of ISO 9001:2015, AS 9100 D, EHS & IATF16949:2016.
• Perform Excursion Management with corrective actions for internal and external issues.
• Plan & coordinate Internal system audits and Process audits between auditees & auditors.
• Coordinate timely closure of audits and corrective actions.
• Organize & maintain audit system & corrective actions reporting.
• Conduct quality systems audits and train internal auditors.
• Coordinate third-party and customer audits; follow up on noncompliances.
• Recommend actions to address nonconformities and improve procedures.
• Train shop-floor engineers on QMS and core tools.
• Monitor KPIs and educate teams on action plans.
• Support external ISO/IATF/EHS audits and ensure timely compliance.
• Audit machining and raw material suppliers and verify compliance.
• Manage Documentation Control and internal/external audits.

Function: Quality Assurance Engineer

Education: B. E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial & production or Total quality management with MBA in TQM or MS in TQM may add advantage

Qualification: Qualified Internal Auditor as per IATF 16949 or AS 9100 D in any organization or authorized institute

Experience: 3 to 7 years of experience in quality management system or auditing field in any manufacturing company

Preferred skills: VDA 6.3, Qualified Internal auditor for IATF & AS 9100 D, Knowledge in Core tools such as APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA & MSA, Aero Engine Standard per AS 13100, RM standards may add advantages

Skills:

1. Quality Documentation Knowledge per ISO/TR 10013- Documentation design knowledge on QMS Level 2 & 3
2. Must perform the Internal audit, Manufacturing Process audit independently
3. Core knowledge on IATF 16949 or AS 9100 D requirements
4. Maintenance & control of QMS documents
5. Knowledge in Core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA)
6. Able to understand and interpret the customer specific requirements
7. Able to conduct gap analysis for process per IATF 16949 or AS 9100 D
8. Written and verbal communication skills

Job description:

1. Development and maintenance of Management System which includes ISO 9001:2015, AS 9100 D, EHS & IATF16949:2016
2. Perform Excursion Management leading to the coordination of corrective actions for internal and external issues. (customer & supplier)
3. Plan & co-ordination for Internal system audits, Process audits between auditees & auditors
4. Co ordination for timely closure of Internal system audits, Process audits, Product audits observations/NCs
5. Organizing & maintain the plant internal ISO 9001:2015, AS 9100 D, EHS & IATF16949:2016 audit system & corrective actions reporting system
6. Conducting quality systems audits & assist in training/guidance to internal auditors
7. To coordinating Third party audit, customer audit, acknowledge & follow up on all noncompliance raised
8. Recommending for necessary actions to be taken for areas not meeting the specified quality system
9. Review, improve, maintain & update Procedures, SOP’s
10. Training on QMS, procedures, rules, core tools to shop floor engineers
11. Monitor the KPI’s and educate people on action plans
12. External ISO/IATF/EHS / EnMs audits & timely compliance/closure
13. Machining supplier & raw material supplier audit plan, audits & timely compliance verification
14. Responsible for Documentation Control system and execution of internal & external audits
15. MRM plan & co – ordinating to conduct MRM & preparing agenda, MOM & communication to all concerns
