Job summary

Avant Garde Cleanroom & Engg Solutions (ACES) in Mumbai seeks a QA/QC Manager to ensure HVAC, cleanroom and MEP systems meet project standards by implementing quality plans, conducting inspections, managing NCRs/ITPs, and coordinating with design, construction and commissioning teams.

You will lead PQPs and ITPs for all MEP systems, oversee audits, document controls, testing and commissioning, and guide QC inspectors to ensure compliance with local codes and international standards.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Full time).
• 10+ years total experience with significant MEP QA/QC exposure; 6+ years in Pharma/Cleanroom or similar projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, Clean Room, Indoor Climate Control, HT/LT, DG, UPS, Fire, BMS) and relevant codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the QA/QC function across all project sites and ensure alignment with quality goals.
• Develop, implement, and manage PQPs and ITPs for all MEP systems.
• Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and physical verification against drawings and codes.
• Manage QA/QC documents, NCRs, audit reports, submittals, and technical reports.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, vendors, architects, and internal teams to resolve quality issues.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and integrated system performance for reliability and safety.
• Guide and train QC inspectors/engineers and ensure adherence to quality processes.

Role overview

QA/QC Manager ensures all HVAC, Clean room and MEP systems meet project standards by implementing quality plans, conducting inspections (material/installation), managing documentation (NCRs, ITPs), coordinating with teams, and overseeing testing/commissioning for compliance with codes and client specs, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the QA/QC function across all project sites and ensure alignment with organizational quality goals. Lead the QA/QC function across all HVAC, Cleanroom, and MEP project sites, ensuring adherence to organizational quality standards
• Develop, implement, and manage Project Quality Plans (PQPs) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for all MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire, ELV/BMS).
• Conduct regular site audits, inspections (receipt, installation), and physical verification, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, method statements, and codes.
• Manage QA/QC documents, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), audit reports, material submittals, and technical reports.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, vendors, architects, and internal teams to resolve quality issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and integrated system performance to ensure reliability and safety.
• Guide and train QC inspectors/engineers, manage their performance, and ensure adherence to quality processes. Ensure all works meet local codes, international standards and client specifications.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Education: B.E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Full time)
• Experience: 10+ years of overall experience, with significant time in MEP QA/QC roles. 6+ years in specialized projects like Pharma/ Cleanroom/ Li-Ion Battery / Solar/ Semiconductor / Data centres shall be preferred
• Knowledge: Well conversant with MEP systems (HVAC, Clean Room, Indoor Climate Control, HT/LT, DG, UPS, Fire, BMS) and relevant codes/standards. NDT Level-2 certificate. Strong auditing, problem-solving, and communication skills.
