Job summary

BW Water is seeking a Lead QA/QC Engineer to oversee inspection and testing on fabrication and construction activities within EPC projects. You will develop ITPs, review vendor docs, and drive adherence to standards and the QMS. Strong leadership and communication are essential for coordinating with contractors and management.

You will mentor junior QC engineers, ensure documentation discipline, and promote continuous quality improvements across instrumentation and testing activities on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical/Civil/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Lead QA/QC Engineer or Senior QC Engineer on fabrication/construction projects (EPC background preferred).
• Strong knowledge of inspection standards, codes, and ITP development.
• Experience reviewing vendor/supplier inspection documentation.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with contractors, vendors, and project management.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline.
• Ability to train and guide junior QC engineers.
• Working knowledge of ASME, API, ISO standards applicable to project scope.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all inspection and testing on fabrication and construction activities comply with contract standards and project specifications.
• Prepare and update quality procedures aligned with the company QMS.
• Prepare project Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) as per specification.
• Review and approve vendor/supplier ITPs, ensuring correct acceptance criteria and inspection points per applicable codes and drawings.
• Review inspection and test procedures.
• Maintain and track inspection, testing, and documentation across the project.
• Prepare inspection/test reports and maintain project test packages.
• Issue and manage project punch lists through to closure.
• Provide project quality reports to management.
• Review vendor/supplier test reports against project specifications.
• Assist in qualifying vendors and subcontractors on quality parameters.
• Provide QC training to the team as needed.
• Support construction/fabrication teams and QC engineers with inspections and final quality documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality processes and maintain instrumentation calibration schedules
