Job summary

Paytm is seeking a QA Automation – Lead QA to join our team in India. You will drive automation strategy for web, mobile, and API testing, leveraging Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Java, and related tools.

The role requires 6+ years of SDET/QA automation experience, strong scripting skills, and hands-on testing across platforms in an Agile environment. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in test design, defect lifecycle management in Jira, and collaboration with developers and product

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience as SDET or QA automation.
• Analyze requirements/PRD and create test cases.
• Sanity, functional, re-testing, integration and regression testing.
• Web, mobile, and API testing experience.
• Write SQL queries and exposure to MySQL DB.
• Hands-on with Jira and defect lifecycle.
• Linux experience.
• Agile methodology understanding.
• Selenium WebDriver and Appium experience.
• API automation experience.
• Programming in Java preferred.
• Familiar with Eclipse, JUnit, Maven, testing tools.
• Scripting in shell, Python, Perl, or Ruby.
• Jenkins exposure is a plus.
• Candidates from E-commerce domain preferred.

Expectations/ Requirements

• - 6+ Years of experience working as SDET or QA automation.
• Analyzing requirements/PRD and creating test cases.
• Should be well versed in sanity, functional, re-testing, integration and regression testing.
• Experience in Web, mWeb, mobile application testing.
• Experience in API (Web Services) testing.
• Experience in writing SQL queries and exposure to MySQL DB.
• Should be well versed in defect life cycle and have hands‑on experience in Jira.
• Working experience in Linux.
• Understands aspects of Agile methodology.
• Experience in Selenium Web Driver/Appium.
• Experience in API automation.
• Experience in Programming language preferably Java.
• Having good analytical, problem solving, communication skills and good team player.
• Experience in Eclipse, JUnit, Maven, Testing etc. open source tools.
• Experience in scripting with any of the languages like shell, python, perl, ruby.
• Good to have Jenkins exposure.
• Candidates from the E-commerce domain would be preferred.
