Job Description

As a QA Engineer, the resource must have experience in Manual Testing, Functional Testing, and some Test automation. The role is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications, working with Senior and Lead Engineers on testing strategies, optimizing testing processes, and building structured test cases and scripts.

Responsibilities

• Test Script Creation: Write, review, and enhance automated test scripts to cover functional, regression, and integration testing scenarios.
• Test Execution: Record, play, and execute test scripts, analyze results, and report defects to the development team; monitor and maintain test environments for consistent execution.
• Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, collaborating with development and DevOps teams.
• Test Data Management: Manage test data setup and ensure consistency for different testing phases.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and prioritize defects using issue tracking tools; collaborate with development for timely resolution.
• Performance and Load Testing: Contribute to performance and load testing by creating automated tests to validate system responsiveness and stability.
• Test Reporting: Generate comprehensive test reports and metrics, highlighting coverage, results, and improvement areas; log details in Jira.
• Test Process Enhancement: Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay Current: Keep updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies in test automation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years experience as a Junior Test Engineer.
• Good coding skills in Typescript and experience with object‑oriented programming.
• Understanding of software testing concepts and best practices.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining test scripts, test cases, test data, and test standards.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of testing web applications, APIs, and databases.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Relevant certifications in testing or test automation (e.g., Playwright with Typescript) preferred.
