Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for web and/or mobile applications based on requirements and user stories
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
• Identify, document, and track software defects/bugs using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
• Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing before release
• Assist in creating and maintaining test cases, test plans, and test scripts
• Work closely with developers to understand feature requirements and technical implementation
• Communicate testing results, risks, and quality concerns clearly to the team
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings (if working in Agile/Scrum)
• Collaborate with senior QA engineers to learn best practices and testing methodologies
• Write clear, detailed bug reports including steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual results, and screenshots/logs
• Maintain and update test case documentation as features evolve
• Contribute to test summary reports at the end of each testing cycle
• Stay updated on QA best practices, tools, and industry trends
• Take initiative to learn the product/domain to test more effectively
• Follow established QA processes, standards, and testing methodologies
• Ensure test coverage aligns with acceptance criteria and requirements
• Support release readiness by validating builds before deployment
