Overview

Unico Connect is seeking a QA Engineer (Manual) to own quality for client web and mobile products. The role spans test plan writing, exploratory testing, cross-browser and device verification, and detailed bug reporting. The position is well suited to early-career QA engineers with strong fundamentals in QA methodology and the discipline to write reproducible bug reports.

Responsibilities

• Write detailed test plans and test cases for web and mobile features
• Run functional, regression, and exploratory testing across browsers and devices
• File reproducible bug reports with steps, screenshots, console logs, and network traces
• Test against multiple environments including dev, staging, UAT, and production
• Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and demo days
• Verify accessibility (basic WCAG checks) and cross-browser compatibility
• Maintain test case repositories in TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray
• Pair with QA Automation Engineers on test case automation candidates
• Participate in release sign-off for owned features
• Contribute to internal QA playbooks and checklists

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 1-3 years of QA or testing on web and mobile products
• Strong understanding of QA fundamentals including test planning, test execution, and bug lifecycle
• Hands-on with TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, or comparable test management systems
• Familiar with Chrome DevTools, Charles Proxy, or Postman
• Excellent written communication for bug reports
• Working knowledge of REST APIs and HTTP fundamentals
• Comfort with mobile testing on real devices and emulators
• Capacity to read product requirements and translate to test cases
• Solid understanding of accessibility basics
