Job summary

Saleshandy is hiring a Junior QA Engineer (SDET 1) to test features, automate workflows, and collaborate with developers to keep products reliable. You will work with Playwright, Postman, and CI/CD pipelines while validating REST APIs and SQL queries in a fast-paced team.

You will contribute to automated test design using BDD with Cucumber, Page Object Model, and AI-assisted testing techniques, aiming for robust quality across web applications.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in QA/SDET role.
• Strong web/API testing knowledge.
• Familiar with SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies.
• 2 years hands-on Playwright experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with BDD (Cucumber) and POM.
• Ability to write clean automation scripts.
• Experience integrating tests with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Hands-on API testing with Postman.
• SQL querying (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Git/GitHub/GitLab familiarity.
• Exposure to AI-powered testing tools (ChatGPT/Copilot).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and ownership.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Who Are We Looking For? – SDET 1

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in QA / SDET role
• Strong understanding of web application testing, REST API testing, and API workflows
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and test design techniques
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience with Playwright for test automation.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks using:
• BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) approach (e.g., Cucumber with Playwright)
• Page Object Model (POM)
• Ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable automation scripts
• Experience integrating automation tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Hands‑on experience in API testing using Postman
• Comfortable writing and validating SQL queries (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab)
• Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and practices, such as:
• Using ChatGPT / GitHub Copilot for test generation
• Self‑healing automation and intelligent locators
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to take ownership and work in a fast‑paced environment

Nice To Have

• Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter)
