Job summary

Ikigai Infotech LLP (Saleshandy) seeks a Junior QA Engineer to help automate tests, validate REST APIs, and ensure product reliability. You will work with developers to build scalable automation using Playwright and BDD with Cucumber. Strong JS/TS skills, SQL, and Git are expected.

You will participate in a fast-paced team, contribute to AI-powered testing, and help maintain robust automation frameworks. This role offers growth in a dynamic tech environment in Ahmedabad.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on QA/SDET experience.
• Strong understanding of web app testing, REST APIs, and API workflows.
• Experience with Playwright for test automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with SDLC/ STLC and Agile testing.
• Experience building/maintaining automation frameworks (BDD, POM).
• CI/CD integration with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with API testing using Postman.
• SQL queries in MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Version control with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and self-healing locators.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Ability to own tasks in a fast-paced environment.

At Saleshandy, we’re on a mission to achieve 100% automation by the end of the year – and we need you to help us get there! As our Junior QA Engineer, you'll test features, automate workflows, and work with developers to keep our products running flawlessly.

Who Are We Looking For? – SDET 1

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in QA / SDET role
• Strong understanding of web application testing, REST API testing, and API workflows
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and test design techniques
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience with Playwright for test automation.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks using:
• BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) approach (e.g., Cucumber with Playwright)
• Page Object Model (POM)
• Ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable automation scripts
• Experience integrating automation tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Hands‑on experience in API testing using Postman
• Comfortable writing and validating SQL queries (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab)
• Exposure to AI‑powered testing tools and practices, such as:
• Using ChatGPT / GitHub Copilot for test generation
• Self‑healing automation and intelligent locators
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to take ownership and work in a fast‑paced environment

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter)
• Knowledge of security testing (OWASP Top 10)
