Job summary

Tata Elxsi is seeking a QA Automation professional to lead testing for IoT data flows across vehicle, middleware, cloud and application layers. You will design end-to-end test plans, implement automated frameworks, and ensure security, performance, and UI integrity in a connected vehicle ecosystem.

You will leverage Selenium, Cypress, Appium, REST Assured, and CI/CD tools to deliver robust quality assurance in a fast-paced automotive tech environment.

Qualifications

• Automation testing across web and mobile platforms using Selenium, Cypress, Appium.
• Performance testing with JMeter or Gatling to validate system behavior under load.
• IoT and middleware testing for vehicle data flows and cloud integration.

Responsibilities

• Define QA processes for IoT data flows across vehicle, middleware, cloud, and app layers.
• Develop test plans, validation matrices, and test cases for functional, integration, performance, and security testing.
• Design and execute end-to-end test cases including ignition flows, data ingestion, and cloud processing; ensure UI accuracy and real-time updates.
• Develop and implement automated testing frameworks for APIs, microservices, and UIs; integrate with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Generate QA dashboards and present quality metrics and risk assessments to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Define QA processes for end-to-end IoT data flows spanning vehicle, middleware, cloud, and application layers.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, validation matrices, and test cases covering functional, integration, performance, and security testing.
• Design and execute test cases for:
  
  • Ignition ON event flows (middleware → cloud → application).
  • Data ingestion layers including decoding, rule execution, persistence, and forwarding.
  • Cloud processing workflows including payload enrichment and latency validation.
  • Application layer functionality including UI accuracy and real-time updates.
• Validate end-to-end latency, data integrity, reliability, and error-handling scenarios.
• Develop and implement automated testing frameworks for APIs, microservices, and user interfaces.
• Utilize tools such as Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, and Appium.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Conduct performance, scalability, and load testing for connected vehicle ecosystems supporting 1 million+ vehicles.
• Validate compliance with automotive standards including ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity) and ISO 26262 (Functional Safety).
• Support security testing activities including TLS validation and penetration testing.
• Generate daily and weekly QA dashboards highlighting defect trends, test coverage, risks, and quality metrics.
• Present test status, quality reports, and risk assessments to customer stakeholders.
• Act as the primary QA point of contact for customer reviews and discussions.
• Leverage Generative AI tools for:
  
  • Automated test case creation from requirements.
  • Intelligent defect analysis and root cause prediction.
  • Test data generation for edge-case scenarios.

• Security Testing: TLS Validation, Penetration Testing Tools
• Programming: Java, Python, or JavaScript
• GenAI Tools: Exposure to AI-driven QA platforms such as Testim, Mabl, or custom LLM-based testing solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of automotive platforms and data flow across vehicle, middleware, cloud, and application layers.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, or equivalent cloud ecosystems.
• Experience with connected vehicle and telematics platforms is an added advantage.
