Position Overview

The QA Lead will be responsible for leading the quality assurance function across multiple projects, establishing testing standards, driving automation initiatives, managing QA teams, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of enterprise-grade applications. The role requires 8–12 years of overall experience, including a minimum of 3+ years leading QA teams and quality engineering initiatives, with a strong passion for delivering high-quality software products through robust testing strategies, process excellence, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Strategy & Governance
  • Define and implement quality assurance strategies across products and projects.
  • Establish testing processes, quality standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Develop and monitor quality metrics, defect trends, test coverage, and release readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes and tools.
QA Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and mentor QA engineers, automation testers, and quality analysts.
  • Own test planning, estimation, resource allocation, and execution activities.
  • Manage QA resources across multiple projects.
  • Ensure timely delivery of test artifacts, reports, and stakeholder communications.
Testing & Quality Engineering
  • Manage functional, integration, regression, UAT, performance, and API testing activities.
  • Drive automation adoption to improve testing efficiency and release quality.
  • Participate in requirement reviews to ensure testability and completeness.
  • Identify risks, quality issues, and bottlenecks while proactively implementing mitigation plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Business Analysis, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Work closely with developers, project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Support enterprise-wide quality engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure quality objectives are aligned with business and engineering goals.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
  • Monitor QA dashboards, release reporting, and quality KPIs.
  • Drive automation and CI/CD quality gate integration.
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies and QA tools.
  • Maintain transparency through quality reporting and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, automation frameworks, Agile, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership mindset and accountability for product quality.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and QA workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills.

Experience
  • 8–12 years of overall experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Minimum 3+ years leading QA teams, test planning, and quality engineering initiatives.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in manual testing including functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in API testing using Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or similar tools.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience using Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or similar test management platforms.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Minimum 3+ years defining test strategies, test plans, estimations, and resource planning.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in defect lifecycle management and root cause analysis.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with SQL for database validation and backend testing.
  • Minimum 2+ years integrating testing activities into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Minimum 3+ years managing QA dashboards, release reporting, and quality KPIs.
