Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division in Pune, India seeks a Senior QA Engineer for the ADPS platform. The role focuses on designing test automation frameworks, executing test strategies, and ensuring high-quality releases for distributed systems and .NET/C# applications.

You will collaborate with development and product teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and drive continuous testing improvements across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Electronics/Electrical/Engineering from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Review technical specifications and engineering requirements.
• Create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Design, maintain, and execute automated and manual tests.
• Validate functionality, performance, and security of .NET and C# applications.
• Analyze defects and collaborate with developers on solutions.
• Promote QA best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Work closely with development and product teams to ensure requirements are thoroughly tested.
• Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies.
• Evaluate and implement modern testing tools, including AI-based solutions.
• Maintain complete test documentation and quality metrics.

Qualifications

"Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical/ Engineering from accredited institution

"Desired: Master’s degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronics & Telecomm Engineering from accredited institution"

• Minimum 5 years of software quality assurance experience.

Skills

• Experience with testing distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with API and backend automation framework.
• Experience in Agile software development.
• Experience with Jira and GitHub or similar tools.
• Experience with Dynatrace APM, infrastructure monitoring, distributed tracing, and log analysis
• Understanding of performance, security, and accessibility testing best practices.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes & Docker.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI cloud platforms.
• Experience with SQL, LINQ, and relational databases.
• Experience with Python, Go, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions.
