Job summary

Kumar Elastomech Pvt. Ltd. in Chakan, Maharashtra seeks an experienced QA In-Process Head to lead the in-process quality function for plastic injection moulding, manage a QA team, control rejects, and drive continual improvement across the production line.

You will implement Control Plan, PFMEA, CAPA, 5 Why analysis, and ensure IATF 16949 compliance while coordinating with Production, Tool Room and Maintenance to reduce defects and improve process capability.

Responsibilities

Lead the QA In-Process team and manage day-to-day quality activities.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
Ensure quality of products throughout the plastic injection moulding process.
Monitor process rejection, rework, scrap and customer complaints.
Implement Control Plan, PFMEA, Work Instructions and Inspection Standards.
Review and approve first-piece inspection and process start-up approval.
Monitor critical process parameters and ensure adherence to defined standards.
Drive Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA and Corrective Actions.
Implement and monitor Poka-Yoke and process improvement activities.
Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance and Development teams for quality issues.
Monitor KPI like PPM, rejection %, rework %, FPY and quality trends.
Ensure proper calibration and availability of measuring tools.

We are looking for an experienced QA In-Process Head to lead and manage the in-process quality function for plastic injection moulding operations. The candidate will be responsible for overall process quality, team management, rejection control, customer requirements and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the QA In-Process team and manage day-to-day quality activities.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
Ensure quality of products throughout the plastic injection moulding process.
Monitor and control process rejection, rework, scrap and customer complaints.
Ensure implementation of Control Plan, PFMEA, Work Instructions and Inspection Standards.
Review and approve first-piece inspection and process start-up approval.
Monitor critical process parameters and ensure adherence to defined standards.
Drive Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA and Corrective Actions.
Implement and monitor Poka-Yoke and process improvement activities.
Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance and Development teams for quality issues.
Monitor PPM, rejection %, rework %, FPY and other quality KPIs.
Ensure proper calibration and availability of measuring and testing instruments.
Lead quality improvement projects to reduce rejection and improve process capability.
Handle internal, customer and certification audits related to process quality.
Conduct training and skill development programs for QA inspectors and production personnel.
Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly quality performance reports.
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality records.
Support new product development, trial and process validation activities.
