Aurus in Pune is seeking a QA Head to own the end-to-end quality strategy for our fintech product suite, ensuring functional accuracy, security, regulatory compliance, and performance at scale.

The role blends hands-on technical depth with team building, process ownership, and cross-functional influence with Engineering, Product, Compliance and Security teams. You will drive automation, CI/CD and release readiness across multiple initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement QA strategy, roadmap and standards across products.

Job Title: QA Head

We are hiring for QA Head who will own the end-to-end quality strategy for our fintech product suite, ensuring functional accuracy, security, regulatory compliance, and performance at scale. This is a leadership role combining hands‑on technical depth with team building, process ownership, and cross‑functional influence with Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Security teams.

Experience: 10 15 years

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall QA strategy, roadmap, processes and quality standards across products.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing QA team.
• Establish and monitor QA metrics, KPIs, quality gates and release criteria.
• Drive both manual and automation testing practices across the organization.
• Ensure effective test planning, test case design, regression testing and defect management.
• Oversee API, database, integration, functional, system and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps and Business teams throughout the SDLC.
• Ensure effective defect tracking, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Establish processes for performance, security, reliability and scalability testing.
• Drive CI/CD integration for automated testing and quality checks.
• Identify risks and quality gaps and provide mitigation plans.
• Review and improve existing QA processes, tools and methodologies.
• Manage QA resources, priorities and delivery timelines across multiple projects.
• Ensure compliance testing for financial regulations (RBI guidelines, PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR/data privacy as applicable)
• Own testing strategy for payment flows, transaction reconciliation, ledger accuracy, and financial calculations
• Define and implement quality assurance processes for high‑availability and business‑critical applications.
• Establish best practices for test automation architecture, framework selection and maintenance.
• Work with Engineering and DevOps teams to improve deployment quality and release stability.
• Ensure adequate test coverage for critical business and payment scenarios.
• Lead QA planning and execution for major product releases, integrations and new features.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in product-based organizations.
• Experience managing and mentoring QA teams.
• Strong knowledge of manual and automation testing methodologies.
• Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of API testing, SQL/database testing and integration testing.
• Experience with Jenkins/GitLab CI or similar CI/CD tools.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum, SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of defect management and tools such as Jira.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders and drive quality initiatives across the organization.
• Fintech/BFSI/Payments domain experience is a strong plus
• Hands‑on background in automation, API, and performance testing
• Working knowledge of compliance frameworks (PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001, RBI guidelines)
• Understanding of payment gateways, payment processing, transaction lifecycle and reconciliation.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Understanding of security testing concepts, vulnerability assessment and secure SDLC.
• Strong understanding of database concepts, SQL queries and data validation.
• Ability to define and track automation coverage, defect leakage, test effectiveness, release quality and other QA metrics.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive QA transformation and establish a quality‑first culture.
