Job summary

Vensure is seeking an experienced Functional Tester with deep HRMS, payroll and compliance domain expertise. You will validate end-to-end HR processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support integrations with third‑party vendors while maintaining quality across releases.

The role requires hands-on test case design, defect tracking, and strong communication to collaborate with Product, Development, and Business teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in functional/manual testing.
• Strong domain expertise in HRMS, Payroll and Compliance systems.
• Hands-on experience in writing test cases and test scenarios.
• Defect tracking using JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
• Test management tools such as TestRail or ALM.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements related to HRMS, Payroll, and Compliance modules.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for functional and regression testing.
• Validate end-to-end HR processes including employee lifecycle, payroll processing, benefits, and compliance reporting.
• Ensure system compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory policies.
• Conduct data validation and reconciliation across payroll and HR systems.
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA and ALM.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, and Business Teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Perform integration and UAT support for HR systems with third-party vendors.
• Participate in release cycles to ensure quality before deployment.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Functional Tester with domain expertise in HRMS, PEO (Professional Employer Organization), Payroll, and Compliance systems. The role involves validating end-to-end business workflows, ensuring product quality, compliance accuracy, and seamless integration across HR and payroll modules.

Key Responsibilities :

• Analyze business and functional requirements related to HRMS, Payroll, and Compliance modules.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for functional and regression testing.
• Validate end-to-end HR processes, including:
• Employee lifecycle management (hire-to-retire)
• Payroll processing (earnings, deductions, taxes)
• Benefits administration
• Compliance and statutory reporting
• Ensure system compliance with regional labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory policies.
• Conduct data validation and reconciliation across payroll and HR systems.
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM).
• Collaborate with Product, Development, and Business Teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Perform integration and UAT support for HR systems interacting with third-party vendors (benefits, tax engines, etc.).
• Participate in release cycles, ensuring quality standards are met before deployment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in functional/manual testing.
• Strong domain expertise in :
• HRMS systems
• Payroll processing (US/India/global)
• Compliance and statutory regulations
• PEO platforms or services (preferred)
• Hands-on experience in :
• Writing test cases and test scenarios
• Defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)
• Test management tools (TestRail, ALM, etc.)
• Solid understanding of :
• Payroll components (taxes, deductions, benefits, garnishments)
• Labor laws and compliance frameworks
• Experience in API testing or database validation (SQL) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
