ProCharting Pvt Ltd (India) is seeking a QA/Manual Tester to own testing across the live trading terminal, charting, DOM, and orderflow tools. You will validate data accuracy and feed reliability, reproduce issues, and collaborate with engineers to deliver clean releases.

The role requires 3–5 years of QA experience, strong test design, and clear bug reporting. This is an in-person position in Chennai with opportunities to grow into automation testing.

• Maintain test documentation: test plans, cases, checklists, and acceptance criteria.
• Feed the automation effort: identify high-value cases and work with QA Automation Engineer to keep the suite meaningful.
• Be the last line before release: run release and acceptance testing and give a go/no-go quality read.

GoCharting is a web-native charting and trading workflow platform with institutional-grade orderflow and DOM tools — footprint/cluster charts, volume/market profile, cumulative delta, imbalance charts, DOM trading. We are the only platform that delivers these capabilities fully on the web. Comparable to TradingView for general charting, but differentiated as the leader in the professional orderflow niche. PE-acquired and funded in 2025, profitable, 3M+ registered traders globally, with a mandate to scale 10x over 4 years.

The Role

Quality is existential for a charting and trading platform. A wrong price, a frozen chart, or a bad fill costs a trader money — and costs us trust. Data accuracy and feed reliability are our single biggest source of customer complaints, and this role is a first line of defence against them.

You will own functional and manual testing across the product — the live trading terminal, charting, DOM, orderflow tools, and the market-data surface underneath it all. You will test the way a user actually uses the platform, hunt down the bugs others miss, and write reports engineers can act on without a meeting. You report to the CEO inside Client Engineering and work day‑to‑day with the QA Automation Engineer, backend, frontend, and Support.

In year one, success looks like fewer regressions reaching production, faster and cleaner release cycles, and data‑accuracy issues caught by QA before a customer ever sees them.

What you’ll do

• Own functional and manual testing — across the terminal, charting, DOM, and orderflow; write and execute test plans and cases from product specs and real trader workflows
• Test what matters most — data accuracy and feed reliability — validate prices, bars/OHLC, symbols, and session handling across markets, and catch bad prints, gaps, and lag before release
• Own the bug lifecycle — reproduce, isolate, and write crisp reproducible reports; verify fixes; and partner with Support to triage customer‑reported data issues
• Maintain test documentation — test plans, cases, checklists, and acceptance criteria that keep quality repeatable
• Feed the automation effort — identify the high‑value, repetitive cases worth automating and work with the QA Automation Engineer to keep the suite meaningful
• Be the last line before release — run release and acceptance testing and give a clear go/no‑go quality read

What we’re looking for

Must‑haves:

• 3–5 years in QA / software testing, with strong manual and functional testing on complex, data‑heavy web applications
• Rigorous, methodical, and detail‑obsessed — you find the bug others miss and write reports engineers can act on immediately
• Solid test design — test plans, cases, boundary and edge conditions, and regression coverage
• Clear written communication and genuinely reproducible bug reporting
• High autonomy — comfortable owning quality in a lean team with little hand‑holding
• In‑person in our Chennai office

Nice‑to‑haves:

• Trading, investing, fintech, or market‑data exposure — you understand ticks, OHLC, and order book data, and how a trader reads a chart
• Some test‑automation exposure (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium), or clear eagerness to grow into it
• Experience testing real‑time / WebSocket‑driven or visualization‑heavy UIs
• Familiarity with bug‑tracking and test‑management tools (Jira, TestRail)
• Familiarity with Indian (NSE/MCX) or US (CME) market structure
• Top‑tier Indian institution (IIT/NIT/IIM) — nice‑to‑have, not a gate
