• Ability to read and reconcile financial statements like contract notes and ledgers.

01 About the Role

We're hiring a Manual QA Engineer to test the systems that move investor money correctly across the Indian capital markets ecosystem order placement and execution, clearing and settlement, corporate actions, and investor servicing. You'll read market workflows the way an auditor would: exchange cut-off times, margin logic and settlement cycles aren't edge cases here, they're the main path. You'll work closely with product, engineering and compliance to make sure every release holds up before it reaches an investor's statement.

02 What You'll Do

Validate transaction processing against exchange cut-off times, margin requirements, and settlement cycles (e.g. T+1).

• Review requirements and design documents early, flagging gaps before they become defects downstream.
• Write structured test cases and test plans covering functional, regression, integration and UAT cycles.
• Test end-to-end market workflows: investor onboarding and KYC/UCC, order placement and execution, trade confirmation and contract notes, clearing and settlement, and portfolio or holdings statements.
• Check the numbers, not just the screens — brokerage, margins, P&L, and tax treatment (STT, stamp duty, GST).
• Log and track defects through resolution using JIRA or an equivalent tool, working directly with engineering.
• Run regression across web and mobile for every release, and keep test suites current as features change.
• Support UAT with business and compliance stakeholders, including validation of exchange (NSE/BSE) and depository (NSDL/CDSL) integration flows.

03 Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years in manual/functional testing, with real exposure to capital markets, broking or fintech products.
• Working knowledge of trading and settlement workflows — order types, margins, settlement cycles, corporate actions, brokerage and tax computations.
• Comfortable with the full STLC and defect lifecycle, and with writing test cases straight from business requirements.
• Hands-on with a bug / test-management tool — JIRA, TestRail or similar.
• SQL for data validation and backend verification.
• Can read and reconcile financial statements — contract notes, ledgers, holding statements.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

04 Good to Have

• Prior testing experience at a broking house, exchange, depository participant, or capital markets fintech.
• Hands-on experience testing mutual fund workflows — NAV-based transactions, SIP/SWP/STP, folios, and RTA (CAMS/Fintech) reconciliation.
• Exposure to API testing (Postman) and basic automation concepts.
• Familiarity with SEBI and exchange regulatory requirements in a testing context.
• NISM certification relevant to capital market operations, ISTQB, or equivalent.
