Punon Technologies Pvt Ltd. in Mumbai seeks a detail-oriented QA Engineer with at least 1 year of hands-on Playwright automation testing experience.

The role also requires a solid grounding in manual testing, regression testing, and collaboration with developers to ensure quality software. You will design, develop, and maintain automated Playwright scripts, automate critical workflows, and generate execution reports, while also performing comprehensive manual testing and bug tracking to support

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in Playwright automation testing. The candidate should have a strong understanding of manual testing fundamentals and practical experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright.

The ideal candidate should be capable of identifying bugs, validating application functionality, performing regression testing, and collaborating with developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation Testing – Playwright

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Automate functional, regression, and smoke test cases for web applications.
• Identify and automate critical business workflows.
• Write reusable, maintainable, and reliable automation scripts.
• Debug failed test cases and troubleshoot automation issues.
• Generate and maintain test execution reports.
• Maintain existing automation scripts as application features evolve.

2. Manual Testing

• Understand product requirements, business logic, and technical specifications.
• Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test checklists.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
• Ensure adequate test coverage for new features and existing functionality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in Playwright automation testing.
• Good understanding of software testing concepts and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Understanding of test hooks, fixtures, and reusable test methods.
• Experience with manual testing, test case preparation, and defect reporting.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and DOM.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Playwright HTML reports or other test reporting tools.
• Basic knowledge of API testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
• Exposure to bug tracking tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
