Job summary

Detect Technologies is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own quality across automation, API, performance, and AI-powered testing initiatives. You will design and maintain scalable automation frameworks, validate AI-driven features, and collaborate across engineering and product teams throughout the SDLC.

The role involves manual and automated testing, API validation with Postman, cross-browser testing on BrowserStack, performance testing with JMeter, and mentorship of junior QA engineers.

Qualifications

• Automation: Selenium (Java & Python), Playwright, Cucumber BDD.
• API Testing: Postman, REST API Validation.
• Performance Testing: JMeter (load, stress, endurance).
• Testing Types: Functional, Automation, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, API, End-to-End, Cross-Browser, Mobile, Database, Performance, Stress, Visual Regression, AI Model Validation, UAT, Security Testing (VAPT).
• Tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, Postman, BrowserStack, JMeter, JIRA, GitLab, pgAdmin, DBeaver, Lighthouse, AWS (basic knowledge).
• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Experience: 3+ years

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Python, Java, and Cucumber BDD.
• Perform manual, functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Create and execute API test suites using Postman.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing using BrowserStack.
• Perform visual regression testing using Percy or equivalent tools.
• Execute performance, load, stress, and endurance testing using JMeter.
• Validate AI-powered features and build AI-assisted QA workflows to improve testing efficiency.
• Participate in security testing activities including internal VAPT and coordination with external security teams.
• Prepare test plans, test strategies, test cases, RTM, and QA reports.
• Analyze business requirements and convert them into comprehensive test scenarios.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and clients during requirement discussions and defect triage.
• Monitor product quality throughout the SDLC and recommend quality improvements.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and conduct code reviews for automation scripts.
• Support CI/CD-based automated test execution and continuous quality monitoring.
• Work with Agile/Scrum teams and actively participate in sprint ceremonies.
