Job summary

WEBaniX Solutions is seeking a QA Engineer in India with 2–4 years of software testing experience, focusing on manual testing, test case design, and defect tracking. You will work closely with product teams to ensure quality across releases.

The role involves API testing with Postman, SQL/database testing, and basic automation.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in software testing and QA.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing concepts and methodologies.
• Experience in test case design, test execution and defect management.
• Hands-on experience with Jira or similar defect-tracking tools.
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Good understanding of SQL/database testing.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UI testing.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Collaborate with developers to understand issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Conduct regression testing before production releases.
• Maintain test documentation, test reports, and QA-related records.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and product quality.
• Basic experience with automation testing and willingness to work with automation frameworks.
