Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2–4 years’ QA/Software Test experience in Agile/Scrum.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with Jira/Azure DevOps, TestRail/Xray/Zephyr, RESTful APIs testing, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Strategy: Review system requirements to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Test Execution: Perform manual testing across functional, integration, regression, performance, usability, and boundary scenarios.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, log, prioritize, and track bugs using Jira.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and verify bug fixes.
• Quality Reporting: Summarize test results and provide status updates prior to release.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend QA process and environment improvements.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detailed-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating software quality through test planning, execution, bug tracking, and collaboration with product managers, developers, and designers. You will ensure our software meets quality, functional, and performance standards before reaching production.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Strategy: Review system requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to create comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases.
• Test Execution: Perform manual (and optional automated) testing across functional, integration, regression, performance, usability, and boundary scenarios.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, log, prioritize, and track software bugs and anomalies using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with software developers and product owners to clarify requirements, reproduce issues, and verify bug fixes.
• Quality Reporting: Summarize test results, document test coverage, and provide quality status updates to key stakeholders prior to release.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to QA processes, workflows, testing environments, and standards to increase software reliability.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
• Work Experience: 2–4 years of experience as a QA Analyst or Software Test Engineer in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Testing Knowledge: Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Tooling:
  • Experience with issue tracking software (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with Test Management tools (e.g., TestRail, Xray, Zephyr).
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or Insomnia.
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL for data verification.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities with high attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear bug reports and cross-team collaboration.
