Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking a QA Automation Lead to architect and enhance automated testing for large-scale cloud and video streaming applications. The role focuses on validating product quality, driving automation excellence, and leveraging AI-driven testing to improve coverage and efficiency.

We are seeking a QA Automation Lead to build and enhance automated testing solutions for large-scale cloud and video streaming applications. The role involves validating product quality, driving automation excellence, testing OTT technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging modern tools, frameworks, and AI-driven testing practices.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for large-scale web and cloud-based applications.
• Create and execute functional, API, UI, regression, and end-to-end automated test suites.
• Validate video streaming workflows, playback quality, DRM integrations, and OTT platform functionality.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to improve release quality and execution speed.
• Explore and leverage AI-driven testing approaches to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Test Automation for web applications and REST APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, or JUnit.
• Deep understanding of video streaming technologies including DASH, HLS, MPEG-4, Widevine, and FairPlay.
• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience with TDD/BDD methodologies, AI-assisted QA automation, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
