Job summary

Capco, a Wipro company, is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and mobile applications. You will develop scripts using Playwright for web and Appium for Android/iOS, and integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 4+ years in QA automation, strong knowledge of POM, and experience with API testing and version control. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and involvement in test planning are key aspects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET / Software Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web/UI automation.
• Good understanding of Android and iOS application testing.
• Strong knowledge of automation framework design, including Page Object Model (POM) and reusable test components.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Develop automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications and Appium for Android/iOS mobile applications.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Develop reusable automation components and improve test framework scalability and maintainability.
• Perform API testing and automation using tools/frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API, or equivalent.
• Analyze test failures, application logs, and defects to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and QA engineers throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, test strategy, and automation coverage discussions.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, execution time, reliability, and overall product quality.
• Track defects and testing activities using tools such as JIRA/Azure DevOps.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure automation code follows development and engineering best practices.
