Job summary

Capco is seeking a SDET Automation Test Engineer with Playwright and AI Agentic Testing to join our India automation team. The role focuses on crafting robust UI and API tests and ensuring seamless CI/CD integration across banking and financial services projects.

You will collaborate with developers and QA across multiple locations, bringing strong automation expertise, problem solving, and excellent communication to deliver quality software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of OOP concepts.
• Experience with Java collections, exceptions, and file I/O.
• Proficiency in SQL for writing and executing queries.
• Strong API testing using Rest Assured.
• Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD.
• Git and GitHub for source control.
• UI automation with Selenium or Playwright.
• Build tools: Maven or Gradle.
• Familiar with Linux systems and command-line.
• DevOps collaboration between Dev and QA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests for web applications.

Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, experience with Java collections, exceptions, and file I/O Testing frameworks: Junit/TestNG Test Automation IDE: Selenium/Playwright for UI automation Proficiency in SQL for writing and executing queries Solid understanding of Rest Assured for API Testing, understanding of HTTP methods, Status Codes, and JSON/XML parsing Strong expertise with Jenkins for CI/CD Competence in using Git and GitHub for source code management

Testing frameworks: Junit/TestNG - hands-on knowledge in any of these 2 technologies should be good Test Automation IDE: Selenium/Playwright for UI automation - hands-on knowledge in any of these 2 technologies should be good Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle for project dependency management and build automation Familiarity with IDEs (e.g. Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ, etc.) Good understanding of Linux systems and command-line tools Ability to work effectively in a DevOps environment where Dev and QA collaborate closely Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills Strong oral and written communications skills Constantly strive to learn new technologies and look for ways to stay up to date in this rapidly changing industry
