Job summary

OpenText, The Information Company, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Developer in Hyderabad. The role focuses on end-to-end quality assurance for complex enterprise applications, with hands-on manual and automated testing, Python-based automation, and AI validation.

You will design test plans, develop automation frameworks, validate AI-powered solutions, and perform REST/SOAP API testing. Strong collaboration in Agile/Scrum and cloud testing is required.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of enterprise product testing experience.
• Hands-on testing experience (manual and automated).
• Hands-on Python for test automation.
• Mandatory experience with DeepEval or AI validation frameworks.
• Experience building automation frameworks and test scripts from scratch.
• Experience documenting test results and reports.
• Experience in REST/SOAP API testing and Agile/Scrum environments.

Your Impact

As a Senior Quality Assurance Developer, you will work on complex enterprise applications and take ownership of end-to-end quality assurance activities. This is an individual contributor role requiring strong hands‑on experience in both manual and automated testing.

You will design test plans and strategies, develop and maintain automation frameworks, create test scripts, and validate AI‑powered applications and solutions. You will contribute to improving product quality through effective test automation, API validation, and AI‑specific testing practices.

What The Role Offers

• Own end-to-end testing activities for complex enterprise applications.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test scripts.
• Perform both manual and automated testing across application features and services.
• Design and develop automation frameworks using Python.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
• Use DeepEval or other AI validation frameworks to evaluate and validate AI‑powered applications.
• Design validation approaches for AI outputs, including accuracy, consistency, relevance, and expected behavior.
• Perform REST and SOAP API testing.
• Access and configure databases to support testing and validation activities.
• Document test results, defects, test reports, and overall testing status.
• Collaborate with development and other engineering teams to identify, investigate, and resolve issues.
• Support testing in cloud environments.
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum development and testing activities.
• Apply appropriate approaches for performance, security, and accessibility testing.
• Provide technical guidance and support to a small team of testers when required.

What You Will Need To Succeed

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of enterprise product testing experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience in manual and automated testing.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python for test automation.
• Mandatory experience with DeepEval or other AI validation/testing frameworks.
• Experience developing automation frameworks and test scripts from scratch.
• Strong experience in developing and executing test plans, test strategies, and test scripts.
• Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks and techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with REST/SOAP API testing.
• Good knowledge of accessing and configuring SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Experience documenting test results and test reports.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience testing AI/ML or Generative AI applications.
• Experience with AI evaluation and validation beyond functional testing.
• Experience testing applications in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of web servers such as IIS or Tomcat.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing.
• Experience with accessibility testing / Section 508.
• Experience creating and deploying VMware virtual machines.
• Content management domain experience.
• Experience working with OpenText products.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small team of testers.
