Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python (Robot Framework, PyTest).
• Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for Web, API, and backend apps.
• Develop and manage test cases, data, and coverage.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Automate REST API testing and validation with Python tools.

Job Description QA Python Automation Engineer

Position: QA Python Automation Engineer
Experience: 69 Years
Location: Pune (Hybrid Mode)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Python, including Robot Framework and PyTest.
• Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for Web, API, and backend applications.
• Develop and manage test cases, test scenarios, and test data to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Automate REST API testing and validation using Python Requests, Postman, or similar tools.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms.
• Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare test execution reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in test automation coverage, quality processes, and testing efficiency.

Required Skills

• 6-9 years of experience in Software Testing with strong expertise in Python Automation.
• Strong programming skills in Python with hands-on experience in Robot Framework and/or PyTest.
• Proven experience in Web Automation and API Automation Testing.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Python Requests library, Postman, and API validation methodologies.
• Experience with SQL queries and database validation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Travel, Airline, or Hospitality domain.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Exposure to performance testing and test reporting tools.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks and modern testing practices.
