Job summary

Coforge Limited is seeking an experienced Python API Testing Engineer with Robot Framework to design, develop, and execute automated test solutions for API and web applications at our Pune/Bangalore delivery centers.

Ideal candidates will have strong Python scripting, API automation, test framework development, and CI/CD integration experience, plus the ability to create reusable automation utilities and participate in Agile ceremonies to drive quality engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Python programming.
• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
• Expertise in API testing (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with Postman or Swagger.
• Knowledge of JSON, XML, and SQL.
• Experience with Git/GitHub version control.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Robot Framework.
• Perform API testing using Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or Robot Framework libraries.
• Validate RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend integrations.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Create reusable automation frameworks and utilities.
• Analyze test results, defects, and work with dev teams for resolution.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and quality engineering practices.
• Prepare test reports and timely delivery of milestones.
