Job summary

Source-Right in Bengaluru seeks a Python Automation Framework Developer to create robust test frameworks for production software in an embedded, multi‑processor environment. You will develop tests, automate scripts, and ensure quality through the software lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a degree in electrical or computer engineering, 3–6 years of relevant experience, and strong Python and Pytest skills. You will collaborate across teams and contribute to CI/CD workflows.

• Experience with STLC and various testing types.
• Familiarity with embedded, real‑time, multi‑processor environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop test artifacts for production‑ready software following a defined SDLC.
• Analyse specifications, design test plans and test cases, and verify functionality.
• Lead all levels of software testing and track defects.
• Design and develop automation frameworks and scripts in Python (Pytest preferred).
• Generate test reports from CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with teams.
• Apply software engineering and quality principles in verification.
• Must be able to work from the designated location at ADBL.

• Knowledge of all phases of STLC (Test Plan, Test Case Design, Execution, Reporting)
• Manual Testing (System, Integration, Regression, Sanity, Functional)
• Experience in test automation frameworks (test stack / robot / AutoIt / NI LabView / Spectron / Pytest)
• Experience in developing test framework and debugging software in a real-time, embedded, multiprocessor, multi-interface environment
• Python programming language
• CI/CD using Jenkins and Git
• Working knowledge of software development tools (debugger’s, emulators, compilers, etc.).
• Background in system testing (including drivers like SPI, I2C, UART), RTOS based applications, Linux/Android based applications
• Creative problem-solver capable of testing and reproducing complex software problems and providing solutions to them
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Candidate will be responsible for developing test artifacts for production ready software following a defined software development process. The candidate(s) must be capable of analysing specifications, developing test plans, test cases and verifying functionality.

• Responsible for all levels of software testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
• Knowledge on all phase of STLC – Test Plan, Test case design, Test execution and Test Report generation.
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
• Design and develop automation framework and scripts in python. Experience with Pytest framework would be an advantage.
• Generating test reports from continuous integration/Jenkins/Git
• Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
• Apply software engineering and quality principles in software verification
• Should work from ADBL location

Basic Qualifications
