Job summary

Trigent Software in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Software Test Engineer focused on Python automation to design, implement and maintain automated test suites for production-ready software.

The role requires 5–7 years of relevant experience, strong Python skills, and familiarity with Pytest, Robot Framework and related frameworks. You will work across embedded systems, RTOS, Linux/Android environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, strong Python programming and testing knowledge.
• Experience with industry-standard test frameworks such as Pytest, Robot Framework, TestStack, AutoIt, NI LabVIEW or Spectron.
• Strong debugging/problem-solving skills.
• Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports for production-ready software.
• Perform System, Integration and Regression Testing across the STLC.
• Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and scripts using Pytest or similar testing frameworks.
• Identify, reproduce, track and resolve software defects.
• Integrate test execution and reporting with Jenkins, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Test embedded and real-time systems involving SPI, I2C, UART, RTOS, Linux/Android.
• Debug software using debuggers, emulators and compilers.
• Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams to ensure software quality.
• Work in real-time, embedded, multiprocessor and multi-interface environments.
