Job summary

Podar ORT International School is seeking a PYP Homeroom Teacher to lead inquiry-based, transdisciplinary learning for primary students. You will guide literacy, numeracy, research, and thinking skills while fostering an inclusive, globally-minded classroom culture.

The role requires collaboration with colleagues, regular parent communication, and active involvement in curriculum planning and school events. A strong ICT capability and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
• PYP training/certification preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in primary grades, preferably in an IB, Cambridge, or international school.
• Excellent English communication and ICT skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP framework.
• Serve as the primary teacher responsible for overall academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
• Facilitate inquiry-based, concept-driven, and transdisciplinary learning.

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment promoting student agency and international-mindedness.
• Assess, monitor, and document student learning with formative and summative methods.
• Maintain student portfolios, progress records, reports, and learning documentation.
• Collaborate with specialist teachers, coordinators, and support staff to enhance outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and wellbeing.
• Organize and participate in school events, assemblies, field trips, and co-curricular activities.
• Integrate technology to support teaching and learning.

Qualifications
