Job summary

Bloomingdale International School in Vijayawada is seeking an IB PYP Homeroom Teacher to join our dedicated academic team. This full-time, in-person role focuses on child-centered, inquiry-based learning for primary students in a vibrant campus environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree, with B.Ed. preferred, and demonstrate strong English communication and a passion for IB education. Relocation to Vijayawada is welcomed for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences for primary students.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and child-centered classroom environment.
• Encourage students to question, explore, collaborate, reflect, and take ownership of their learning.
• Integrate IB PYP principles, transdisciplinary learning, ATL skills, key concepts, and learner profile attributes into classroom practice.
• Use differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs.
• Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessment and provide meaningful feedback.
• Maintain appropriate student records, portfolios, learning documentation, and classroom displays.
• Build positive relationships with students and support their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers, subject specialists, coordinators, and school leadership.
• Participate in school events, professional development, field trips, exhibitions, assemblies, and other academic activities.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.

IB PYP training/certification will be an added advantage.
