Job summary

Fuller Technologies in Chennai is seeking a Sr. Purchase Specialist to support sourcing for cement spare parts, ensuring quality, price, delivery terms, and sustainability.

You will manage procurement steps from specifications to contracts, negotiate with vendors, monitor performance, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Expediting to meet KPIs. The role requires 8–10 years of purchasing experience, a mechanical engineering degree, and strong English communication in an international

Qualifications

• Solid commercial and financial understanding.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Expert in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Hands-on experience with ERP-systems
• Fair idea of basic commercial and financial understanding – desirable
• Good knowledge of P2P - Procure to Pay process flow - desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain effective purchasing strategies to ensure reliable supply of goods, materials, supplies, and equipment at competitive prices.
• Evaluate the purchasing environment, including supplier market conditions, pricing trends, and procurement processes.
• Manage all steps of the procurement process, including preparing specifications, issuing requests for proposals (RFPs), conducting supplier selection, and administering contracts.
• Negotiate with vendors to obtain the best possible price and terms, while meeting quality standards and adhering to ethical guidelines.
• Monitor vendor performance and provide feedback to improve supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate purchasing activities into overall business operations.
• Conduct regular reviews of purchase orders, invoices, and payments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on purchasing activities, including vendor information, transaction history, and cost analysis.
